Custom Whole or Half Beef DEPOSIT

Available dates for processing will be listed in the options below. Please reserve one of your custom whole or half animals early by checking out with the deposits shown!

Processing takes a few weeks. Assume about a month between the processing date below and your estimated "ready for pickup" notification that you'll receive from us.

CURRENT PRICING AND WEIGHTS:
Custom Halves cost $5.00/lb hanging weight
Custom Wholes cost $4.75/lb hanging weight

Hanging weights range from 600-800 lbs, with approximately 60% of this weight being your take-home beef cuts!

For example, with current pricing:
If hanging weight was 720 lbs, total costs to us would be:
- Custom Half: 720 lb / 2 = 360 lbs * $5.00/lb = $1,800
- Custom Whole: 720 lb * $4.75/lb = $3,420
DEPOSIT
A $300 deposit for a half or $500 deposit for a whole is purchased here to reserve one of the animals and processing dates. Automatic discounts are applied at checkout for the deposit, so the total deposit due will reflect the $300 or $500 required amount once you go to your cart! We will bill your remaining total balance to your provided email upon final hanging weight determination at the processor. 

PAYMENT
Costs cover the animal and delivery to the processor. Hanging weight is determined after drop off of animal to the butcher and will be used to determine your total remaining balance (minus your deposit paid) to us. If using our butcher, Midwest Meat Company out of Minden, NE (https://midwestmeatcompany.com/), then processing costs are established by the butcher and included in our final invoice to you. You are also welcome to use a processor of your choice (which may be subject to additional delivery fees depending on location), where you would pay processing fees directly to the butcher. Please contact us to learn more if desired!

CUT SHEET/PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
Custom cut sheets are the responsibility of the customer. If working with our primary processor, Midwest Meat Company has their cut instructions sheet available on their website as an online form (https://midwestmeatcompany.com/send-cutting-instructions). After you make a deposit for one of the available dates below, we will confirm with you when we have informed Midwest Meat Company of the customer name they can expect on the cut instructions so you can go online at your convenience to complete the online form.  The cutting sheet form must be completed BEFORE the scheduled day for drop off of your animal at Midwest Meat Company. If working with another butcher, we will first need to confirm their availability around the reserved processing date, and will then help communicate with the butcher to ensure you know their process on how to complete your custom cut sheet with them in advance of your reserved processing date.
TRANSPORT
If working with our primary processor, Midwest Meat Company, we’re happy to facilitate transport of your whole or half beef from the processor to our York, NE warehouse. Due to limited freezer space, we will require pickup within 48 hours. We will contact you when the beef is ready to coordinate pickup in York! If working with your own preferred processor, we kindly request you coordinate pickup of your beef with the processor. Thank you!
